Route description:

- Having as a meeting-starting point the picturesque village of Mikro Papigo, we start our adventure by hiking on a clear path, crossing a forest consisting of oaks, cedars, walnuts and maples to our first stop at the fountain.

We continue with the changing landscape, the forest gives way to low vegetation which predisposes us to the beauty of alpine meadows that we will admire later on as we gain altitude, from here we hike with incredible views of the village Papigo and admiring close to the imposing "Towers of Astraka".

Short stop for water supply at the "Krouna" fountain and after 30 minutes arrival at Astraka's Mountain Refuge, where we will enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

After regaining some strength, we continue our hike to the last part of the route, until we reach our goal, the enchanting, alpine lake which according to the legend was the residence of a dragon, hence its name..Drakolimni!

There we take our main break and after filling our memory with images of incomparable beauty and our soul with unprecedented emotions we take the road back.
